Got this link e-mailed to me this morning by a MK1 owner, respect for him making a faster car 0-60 and 1/4 mile but lets be honest its a stripped out car, nothing that special about a stripped out racer being faster than a fully rounded GT car.

Its a typical Sun OMG cheap golf is faster than a Veryon headline, when actually if you take everything into account its not.

The biggest problem is that once you get over 160 you can only drive it in a straight line because the steering goes wobbly.

...and that's because the car isn't made to go that fast. £60K and it still can't drive properly at 160.

It's stripped out racer with NO luxuries. Basically a shell and a big engine with a big turbo.

A Veyron weighs 4 times as much and has aircon, cruise control, heated leather seats etc etc.

At a guess he's done some 0-60 an 1/4 mile runs with proper timings then taken the stock Bugatti timings and seen his is faster.
