inkjet laser photo

I know there is a difference between inkjet and laser but is there a difference between inkjet and photo printers ?

Regular inkjets will have just 4 or 5 ink colours - cyan, magenta, yellow, black, black again with 5 colour versions. Then extra black is for basic text printing.

Photoinkjets will have additional colours to create a larger range of shades.

Not quite, as so many normal inkjets are now called photo printers as a marketing "gimmick" (although they produce good enough photos for general mucking about).

True enough. A regular colour inkjet is good enough for >99% of photos printed.
