Re-playing FF VII **Warning - Spoilers**

I wasn't a bad game by any means, but by tagging 'Final Fantasy VII' to the beginning of the title it instantly raised my anticipation tenfold. The same happened with dirge of Cerberus; a perfectly good game marred by the fact that it was tied to the greatest game ever made.
 
I liked it, but the combat.... far too easy to physical your attack through the game with X button mashing. Oh and playing every mission as soon as they appear is a sure fire way to sap enthusiasm.

The story was good though, especially the alternative perspective of 'the incident'. Watching that replayed again was fantastic! The re-scored music was great too, as was some of the CGI.

now that was awesome that part. really enjoyed that game. specially the bit where you get the sniper rifle. i love the music in that part of the game where you are taking cloud to escape. (he collapses or something)

I have some ****ing incredible ones from the end of the game, but they'd really spoil the story for anyone that hasn't played it, so you can have this one instead. :D

Attacked him for 3minutes 30 seconds straight with Lucky 7's...Omnislashed while still in Luck 7's, 2xPhoenix, Bahamut ZERO, Knights of the Round and 2xHades and I still died...Bah!
 
Hmmm, with those HP's, and especially 7's you should have been fine :confused: I'm pretty sure I have beaten him with less.

I assume you were constantly barriered & regen & haste?
What lvl limits do you have for Tifa and Yuffie?

TBH I'd say Tifa isn't the best to fight it with, unless she's a lot higher than the others.
 
Without elemental/leveling up for ages I can't get Beta. Boo. Defeated the zolom easily though, no need to chocobo it up yet :P
 
Just left Midgar :D Saved and turned it off. Love the game, But I'm taking my sweeeet time lol, Missed nothing so far though. So i'm happy, even spent time stealing carbon bangles from the shinra top floor lol, And hardedge
 
Fought for 10 minutes again and lost! It did its sodding revenge stomp then that weird aqua thing that heals it right after :(

I had a Bahamut ZERO quadra magic, Omnislash and a Doom of the Living queued! If only it diddnt take two turns :(

Fantastic. That'll do me. Will probably be leveled up enough to do it without by then anyway! It's only the fact that Beta does damage higher than my HP that makes it at all hard :p

Yup, I was in exactly the same position, even elemental>fire didn't help enough. Where are you up to? I think you get the ring on the cruise ship in Junon, but then have to wait till after the gold saucer to come back.
 
Is there any way to erm make the battle sequence less dramatic..everytime I get into a battle its scares the **** out of me lol I jump :( so I now keep volume low :/

Is there any manual that tells you what damage to what creatures etc? or good website?
