Getting drunk if you're reeeally broke

Or cleaning electrical contacts normally, not sure why its been posted here - no doubt something motors related :)

in the states we can get it pretty much at any sort of supermarket or store...here it seems much more difficult to find for some reason. I had to go to Boots and they had to special order me a bottle! I ended up getting some sort of crazy medical grade stuff but so far it's lasted me over 3 years and I use it ALL the time reseating cpus and gpus.

lol it won't get you drunk. Just kill you.

Pharmacy/Chemist

Last I got some a few years ago I got a 300-500ml or so bottle. That ran out and when I tried to get some recently, it was only available in 3 or 5l bottles, so I resorted to nail varnish remover (perfume free etc).

Lots of industrial suppliers stock it. Grove do, probably Rapid and CPC do aswell, I don't know if you need an account first.

Ant

its also usefull for removing any products you've got on the car

if you want to make sure you've got rid of every last drop of polish, sealant, wax or product.

wipe it down with alcohol to get back to bare paint. A lot of the detailers do this after machine polishing to make sure theres no polish left on the car before they apply sealants / waxes.

Someone on another forum said to use this stuff to wipe down/de-grease the new exhaust headers i ordered for my motorbike before using ....

When you are done installing, wipe the entire exhaust (header, mid pipe and can) down with isopropyl alcohol before firing it up.

Got my bottle from ebay few months back. Was a couple of quid and I barely touched it cleaning up my maf.
