I have built a few pcs before but those where just budget pcs and for practice. Now i want to go for a gaming pc,

I have all my plans set out its just the case. Theres a few cases i want but there kinda price and in the reviews it says graphics cards get in the way off stuff....

I have bought 2 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-116-OK and i want to use them in SLI mode. Gives me plenty of power to play on my 30"" moniter full HD

Iv NOT bought a motherboard yet,

I have the ram which is these http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-039-KS&tool=3

i have a power supply
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-037-OC&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1098
( had it for a long time, thought i would replace my other power supply on my old pc because it was broke, turned out it wasnt ) If its not big enough please say

I got for a hard drive http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-238-WD&groupid=701&catid=14&subcat=768 so my games wont have problems loading

Bought just recently http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-203-IN&tool=3 i didnt go for the i7 processors because i ran out of money, i wouldnt have enough for a case or motherboard

All those things that i have, what motherboard would you recommend me buying?? and what case will fit them all

Preferable make the case less than £100 and motherboard as cheap as possible. Willing to pay around £2000 but i still need some money for cooling etc, fans wont be a problem, ill buy what ever good ones fit the case,

- Youll want a bigger PSU, about 750W

- case wise Id say either coolermaster HAF922 or antec902, both under a ton and good cooling gaming cases, theyre a little blingy but imo its better to get the good cooling, alternatively you could get a lian li, but their range is so big and i dont know much about them im not going to advise, post in cases section and im sure Esat will give you some solid advice if you dont like either of these. Im also sure youll get a few ppl shouting "fortress", but its over your budget and gfx card cooling isnt best (due to short CPU loop at rear), as youre running SLI Id say avoid it

- mobo wise youre going to have to shell out im afraid, you need an nforce board to support SLI, and Id recomend getting as good a one as you can, the earlier chipsets were reportedly buggy, Link, pick whichever one you can afford

Personally I would sell the CPU and ram and save a bit more and go I7 rather than using an nvidia chipset board, but thats just me.

Yeah I didnt really say enough, fobose is right, the nforce chipsets really arent great, really you should have asked for advice sooner, then Id of said either
a) if youre set on nvidia pay a little more for i7
b) alternatively use ATI cards and xfire using a decent P45 board or even X48
I suppose depending on how long youve had the items you could maybe try and return the cpu/ram and do A or the gfx cards to do B, unless youre really set on this

cheers! i will continue looking at the cases you menchioned, looks dont bother me, if its a big black box with lots of holes and a on button it wont really bother me, Just worried incase i get the case then get the motherboard and find out nothing fits..

Im reading the reviews on the link you just sent me, most seem to not fit the specifications, I think i might beable to dish out a few hundred on a motherboard what will 100% work for me.

I can easily sell the ram and all that again, friend has been bugging me for the ram because i havnt used it, ill keep looking for a few more days if i find what will be perfect ill send the CPU back

most dont fit? why? what are your requirements from the mobo? theyre all socket 775 and SLI thats all you asked for??? theres only the strikerIIextreme which is DDR3 therefore not suitable, rest should be fine

wont be a problem, the 2 cases I linked are very reasonable to work with, theyre midtowers, most mobo's are ATX, only bigger is E-ATX so just make sure you dont select an E-ATX and you'll be fine

thanks for your help :) i have looked at the cases you suggested, after further staring at the screen and deciding what to buy im going for the antec 992, for now im trying to think about the motherboard

just another quick question, because i have 2 graphics cards, if i get a motherboard what can run a core i7 processor, will i be able to still use both graphics card but not in sli mode?

after further looking i noticed this

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-003-OB&tool=3

Would that be worth getting? yes i will have to return my other parts and sell a few things to get my money back.

Thats a very good bundle mate.
The UD5 board also supports Crossfire or SLI so your exsisting cards will work fine :D

I 2nd the idea of getting that i7 bundle.

Having said that your only option on the motherboard is this one really:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-260-AS&tool=3

Up to you weather u think its worth investing in older tech.

Edit: on the powersupply, you would be fine at stock but any kind of overclock on either graphics card or processor and your getting awefully close. Much better idea to get a 750+ PSU like this one maybe:

i was really hopeing for a powersupply under £100 :( despite the £2000 max i do try to keep it to a minimum, My plan is to leave everything standard no over clocking myself, Yes that bundle is overclocked, but my starting plan was not to overclock.

I would like that motherboard but as iv said before the reviews for it, the ram not working etc etc, ill be safer going for that bundle!
venares those 2 powersupplys are slightly over budget, IV seen a few 700w under £100, would those be enough?
