Problems with an online store

I agree with Seek and would just put it down to experience but fair play if you have the effort to stick with it!

It's reasons like this that I try and not order from websites without contact numbers on them unless there is no other option.

when using ticketmaster recently bought tickets but it wouldn't accept my £10 gift card, as they were tickets that were likely to sell out very quickly went ahead with the order, didn't take it any further and 2 days later £10 appeared in my account from ticketmaster as the system had picked up i was trying to use it, thought that was a pretty good service

Nope, I've struggled to get an answer never mind a satisfactory one.

The stuff ordered hasn't even turned up.

I had a similar thing happen to me when ordering from OcUK.

Sent a cancellation request due to ordering too much of something, then went to bed.
Woke up late the next day (I work evenings/nights) with 2 emails:
1st email - From customer service rep: "Are you sure you want to cancel, do you want to exchange instead?"
2nd email - OcUK Despatch: "Your Order has been packed and is in the process of being shipped."

That's nothing more than fast service really, and OcUK make phone numbers readily available, as well as webnotes.

Neither of which were available for me.

If the code is valid I can't see any reason for them not refunding you 10%. Every merchant account I've used has a refund facility. Either they are dumb to this or just being difficult.

In the past we have sent orders out the door and a few minutes later had an alteration or cancellation. These can sometimes be difficult to deal with but this case has a simple solution.

I would also return the goods on principle.
