Just had a medical, and suprise, i have high blood pressure. According to the nurse and doctor their, i should be having issues sleeping, pains in my chest, stressed at work, smoke and drink a lot.

I dont smoke, maybe a few cans of cider on my day off, no more than 3. I love walking, do yoga, not stressed and sleep like a baby!

I was tested for this in the past over 6 months, and they found i have high blood pressure as norm. Dont know if they were just being nice as im not a doctor.

I know, i have to loose more weight, i have gone from 24 sotne to 17.5 stone now, so its coming off slowly. Yes i still eat the odd 'bad' food, but eat a lot more fruit and even some veg now each day.

But if i feel fine, i have none of the issue that they say i should have, so should i be worried about the reading?

Just wondering, now im stressed!! lol..

It might just be white-coat syndrome. Caused by being tense about being at the doctor's. You could buy a cheap blood pressure monitor and test it again when you're in a more relaxed environment.

Oh and IBTL. This is a medical thread.

There isn't a medical forum. Medical threads aren't allowed, and the wrath of the dons will soon be upon us for discussing it.
