It's a shame you can't swear on here cos that was a steaming pile of dung :eek:

I loved Goal, it's a proper footie film and from what I remember of G2 it was in the same vein but this was a totally different film with different characters and just a cameo of sorts from Santiago Munez.

Straight to video? Straight to dustbin more like.

Absolute tosh!
 
I saw it recently too. Terrible! The first two aren't classics or anything but the 3rd is just awful. They just randomly stick in 2 main characters in and leave Santiago to one side. The only plus side is there are a couple of very attractive actresses in the movie to keep you somewhat entertained
 
I quite like the first one, second one kinda sucked and just watching the trailer for this one makes me want to gouge my eyes out!!
 
I remember that they said that they were going to make a trilogy and assumed that it would follow Santiago Munez. I saw the first one at the pictures and can't remember if the second went straight to video or whether that was on general release too but I get the impression that due to poor sales they cut back on the third one and ended up having to do this film.

The sheer fact that it wasn't centred around Santiago made me think that it was an entirely different film and the proper script for Goal 3 exists somewhere and has yet to be filmed.

They say that Beckham, Gerrard et al are in it but it's just footage from the World Cup and not cameo's like they had in the origianl.

Honestly. Why did they even bother?
