Hi guys
I've just bought myself an iPod Classic 120GB so I can finally put all my music collection together
I'd like a bit of recommendations though regarding converting CDs to iPod friendly format without losing quality yet retaining compatibility.
What I thought was rip the discs to FLAC (that's the best quality non compressed format if I remember rightly), then convert them to 320KB MP3s to put onto the iPod.
I don't want to be converting anything to Apple format, and high quality MP3 seems to be the best option. I would like the FLAC format kept so there is no loss in quality on digital recordings and I can use them when I'm working at my computer without having to have headphones on all the time.
What would you guys recommend for ripping to FLAC and converting to MP3? I have Winamp Pro but would be interested if there is anything else I should be looking at.
Many thanks for any replies
