So I got my new xbox 360 today !!

Well I have connected it to my monitor by hdmi but the sound is really tinny. Is there any way I can use the same speakers as on the computer??

I bought the official MS VGA cable for using my 360 on my PC monitor (this was before HDMI was available on PC monitors), it comes with the sound left/right connectors on it too, so I used a L/R -> 3.5mm jack adapter and plugged it in to my PC speakers AMP so it uses the same speakers.

I run the sound through my monitor as it has a jack for a stereo cable.
Maybe have a look on the back and see if yours has the same as most speakers support analogue?

No i connet via 3.5mm jack.

I asked this not long ago.

You need to do a bit of handy work.

Basically you need a HDMI to DVI cable (the adapter is way to big).

Then you need to use your current cable (scart with the optical out port) and clip away the outter shell on one side, use tweezers.

Then buy a 2xphono to 3.5mm jack and plug it into your line in on your sound card.

Plug the HDMI cable into your xbox and pc monitor, then the grey scart cable into the xbox slot (its very tight) and plug the 2xphono to 3.5mm jack into the line in, turn your pc on and enable line in and bingo. HD gaming on your monitor and coming out of your speakers :)

Could i just do that except plug the jacks into the subwoofer not the sound card?
