OcUK Photo Comp - Season Eight : Round Six - "Reflection" DISCUSSION

I think he'd only win if he took a picture of himself reflecting on how bad an idea that really is:p.
It would be a requirement that they posted a cheap pun along the lines of "on reflection it was probably a bit of a drastic idea for a competition entry"

Wait... I can't enter this round? Who invented that silly rule? :(

Worse that that:

* The Judges may not discuss or submit their interpretation of the theme until the competition winner has been announced.

Which probably means that you're not meant to post lovely images like that in the discussion thread 'till next month.

in his defence was he not just responding to my reply with a similar style of image to the one i posted from gravvy rather than posting his interpretation of the theme?

I was, rather than trying to state how I interpret the theme. I'll take it down though to err on the side of whatever it is you err on the side of.

Ok mine is in and it is a shoot of a Mamiya Medium Format which we where also using for a photo shoot of a friend.

So I'm not the only one who loves Willis' shot, one of my favourites since I first saw this competition I think.

I completely forgot about this months competition, and realised I had a nice photo I could stick in, so I moved it from the thread I started the other day (which got no replies... :p).

My entry is in, taken yesterday on the way home from Mclaren HQ, Woking. I was there with Vodafone (along with 200 others).
Lewis arrived in his F1 car around the lake up to the front door which was cool. (just like he did when he arrived back from winning the world championship)

The security was really tight, NO camera's alowed, gutted, i took my camera, but was warned it would be confiscated if i used it :(

The team and cars were there from the last race, preping for Silverstone.

Managed to grab a couple with my phone though...Mclaren

It was so frustrating, given this months theme, and the fact that nearly the whole building is made of glass :(

Arr well them's the breaks, great place to visit if you ever get the chance, on a side note and to make you all even more jealous, im going to the grand prix next week and have been promised pit passes for Friday, fingers crossed. (hoping there is not a camera ban in the pits if i get in)

. (hoping there is not a camera ban in the pits if i get in)

I know it might be different at each circuit, but you see loads of people roaming the pits this season, i remember once, someone went right into shot behind Jake, DC and Eddy with a Point and Shoot :p

Added my entry. lacks anything to make it a winner imo, but i'm soo busy it may be the only entry i get in!

Either way, it pretty much describes summer!

Can I just make a small announcement:

THE RULES said:
* Photos must be of a reasonable size.

Whilst it's great to see so many entries, there's a trend towards putting up really small images at the moment. It makes judging the shots extremely difficult, as it basically hides all of the detail. By all means post small images in the thread to save space and reduce load times, but please link to larger images.

We don't specify a minimum size, but in my books, a 'reasonable size' is something at least 800px longest side (and preferably larger).

Thanks :)

Well i did manage to get my pit tour yesterday (not what you know, its who you know), and i will post a thread at end of weekend as im off there now and staying till Sunday night.

I am just debating whether i should swap my current entry for this one of the Mclaren 'motor home'? (no judges please)

Hope mine is okay. I have left a link to the Flickr page for it, where EXIF can be found and clicking 'all sizes' will show a larger shot. I do find it annoyign as it would be nice if Flickr had an inbetween medium and large size. Otherwise I have to host it elsewhere which is more hassle. If its not shout, and I will sort somethign out.
