Re-playing FF VII **Warning - Spoilers**

The only time I ever had Alexander was when I killed Emerald Weapon and go the master summon materia. Where abous exactly do you get it?
iirc someone told me it is after the snowboarding where you have tha crappy map, but I cannot find Alexander for the life of me.

Someone explained where it is and what you have to do to get it a few posts before Chris' picture.

I've just done the first trip to the north crater and awakened the weapons. Gonna get a crack on with getting cloud back in my party. Hate it when he's not in it

Chocobo racing just takes time and money. Just bung out loads of cash on some greens that basically let you run your chocobo around full speed without an impact on stamina. Start the race, ramp the thing up to top speed and let it race!

I remember, for some reason, everything bar the black and gold chocobo run like treacle through the space section on the short course, the underwater bit on the long course.

God I'm not looking forward to the chocobo breeding, how long did it take you to get it?

I spent a few hours yesterday catching the wild chocos I needed, then most of today breeding and racing them. :)

Money can be an issue, but I sold 4 Mastered ALL before I started. :p

The the space section holds up everything but mountain traversing chocos, the underwater section doesn't slow up any that can cross water. :)

It makes training a Wonderful choco a pain against Joe though. :(

So worth it though. :D

Just a random tip, if you hold all of the shoulder buttons while choco racing your stamina regens much faster. Found that out by accident the best part of a decade ago, it still worked on the PS3 using original disks so i imagine it'll work with the PSN download too.

Is it sad that i've done basically everything FFVII has to offer, including exploit most of the bugs, without ever using a guide?

The only one that's new to me is the w-item exploit.

Gah, spent about 10 mins flying around in the Highwind trying to find Ultimate Weapon, can't find the bugger anywhere. He "should" be flying around, Emerald is in the water :/

His favourite spots are over the northern crater, over the springs village at the south, next to cosmo canyon and over wutai iirc. Sometimes he just flies around aimlessly for several mins.

[EDIT] Also there's a random crater filled with water (near junion possibly?) He likes to hang around there too.

If this isnt as good as people are making out, there will be blood ;D

Never played any real RPG's before, this looks kind of childish, but i'll give it a go

FFVII is one of seXiest RPG's ever made. Spend months playing through this, mainly on the PC as a prefered the tweaked graphics and sound.

I still have the official Final Fantasy VII strategy guide too :D

I've just done the Underwater Reactor, I normally hate Carry Armour as it manages to give me lots of issues.

This time, I just shoved Ultima, Bolt3, and Contain up it's rear end until it died.

Loving this game, can't put it down! :D

Yea, I'm finding it stupidly easy on this run through due to knowing the game so well after finishing it 4 times already.

I also tend to do large grinding sessions to bring my level up. I did about five levels looking for Yuffie, ten or so before Nibelheim, etc.

Makes a lot of the bosses much easier. :)
