some scroat getting what was coming, glad we live in a world like that....police should take a more proactive approach on thugs.

he got tasered for still fighting, and prolly first taser was for resisting arrest...the punches abit OTT, but I got no problem with getting tough on drunks on the street causing trouble

good on them..
 
the only thing that we dont know is what he did before the video starts ?

so we cant really say if the police were wrong or right without knowing the whole story

But the whole idea of the tazer is a less-lethal option where firearms would have been used. Do you not think this represnts a slightly dangerous focus creep from the original intention?
 
He should comply then the **** He gets tasered once then starts throwing punches at the cop afterwards? :rolleyes:
 
Didn't look like blows to the head to me, looked like he was trying to soften his arm up, nothing wrong with that.
 
One taser should be enough for them to get the cuffs on? He was kicking at the officers legs so they might have overreacted with another taser. But why punch him in the head 3 times.. It's as if some officers love violence.

It seems to me that Taser was not having the desired effect in making him compliannt to being handcuffed.

Punching a suspect in the arm who is resisting is not forbidden as long as you can justify it.

like someone said here, he's deadening arm to allowing cuffs...

point of taser is you can hit multiple times if you need to... the idea is to stop the thug struggling and get him restrained.

*waits for human rights brigade to turn up in thread and ask why he wasn't provided with a KFC as thug was hungry*
 
He is punching his arm to enable them to get the cuffs on. The bloke had already been tasered bofore this started recording, as the barbs are already in him - yet he still chose to fight.

Cant see anything wrong with that - bear in mind they had to taser him in the first place, so he must have been rather violent to begin with

Taser is not a 100% guarantee that a suspect will be pacified enough to handcuff.

As for the punches, were they definitely to the head ?
