I installed windows 7 on saturday and I need to get the drivers for my airpace wifi, but I don't seem to be able to get the drivers from the abit site as the folder just downloads empty. Also they aren't for windows 7 so I was wandering if anyone knew where I could get them, and if there are any windows 7 drivers about?

Thanks

Theres a Artheos driver that you can use, I'm not sure which it is but it runs on an Artheos chipset and a driver for it comes with 7.

Edit: Try AR5007EG, AR5006X or AR5006XS.

I have just tried going into device manager and clicked on the unknown network adapter, clicked update driver and pointed it to system32. It appeared to pick up a driver and started installing but then came up saying that the driver is unsigned and so could not install it. This is what happened halfway through the installation from the disc too. It now shows up in device manager under netork adaptors as "abit AirPace Wi-Fi Wireless Netork Adapter" but is not in the network connections in network and sharing centre and won't find anything when I click update drivers and point to system32. Does anyone know how I can get it to install properly please?

I don't know if this is how I am supposed to install the Atheros driver that was mentioned but that's all I could find from google so if I'm doing it wrong coulld someone please tell me the correct way to do it?

Thanks

Try this site:-

I think you need AR5007G (that's what I use for mine and it's OK). I don't know if any of the Vista versions will work for you on Windows 7, I assume it's pretty much the same driver-wise...

Click the blue tick and it'll take you to the download page where you can grab the inf file, then just do it through Device Manager.

:)

I have tried the drivers from both sites that Firegod and bledd. suggested but when I point device manager towards the location of the folders I downloaded it says that it cannot find driver software for the device

This is so frustrating:mad:

You maybe right, I'm just getting the Vista egg timer / circle spinning when I click Download. Not getting any "save as" dialog appearing.
