I've not had a great deal of sleep the past 4 days, including a 28 hour day/night/drive home so no editing as such. Will do more when I've recovered lol.

The weekend goes as follows. Long drive, long day, great racing, VIP Box above pits + food and drink throughout the weekend. Grandstand when not in the box, race ends, evening meal, tent stolen, long drive, car crash, home.

The night pics are fantastic. Looks like a great event to go to.

What happened with the 'car crash' on the journey home?

Cheers :)

Just before the Calais Ferry Terminal a lorry decided to push it way into our lane. As it drifted into our lane my friend moved to the left just as the road took a sharp right so within no time at all we met with the raised curb.

Damage is a twisted back axel and two knackered wheels. Luckily the body was untouched.

We managed to drive hom at a steady 50ish. The car has been taken away to be assessed and repaired.

It's an 08 Plate Astra VXR.

Damn those Astons look awesome :D

They sounded great too. However the Vette's sounded even better!

Love the night pics too - don't suppose you did any longer exposures for some light effects, or were you not able to do so?

I didn't take my tripod :( It was the only thing I forgot.

What lens were you using?

Either a Canon f/4 L 70-200 or a Canon L f/4 300mm

I need to go through them as most need a sharpen/tweak.

I'm impressed you managed to get one of the JLOC Lambo, was that on the parade lap or when it limped into retirement on lap 1??

I really do feel sorry for them, they drag themseleves over from Japan year after year and never make it as far as Saturday evening before the car disintegrates.

Funny you should say that. I was hoping to get a few good shots as I'm a big Lambo fan. Didn't even complete one lap!

They'd packed up only a short time after and for a few hours it was the only garage with a closed door :(

I feel more sorry for the teams that missed out on an entry because of them, every year its the same, they show up, have nothing but problems and rarely get past the first hour, Teams such as Larbre Competition deserved that entry far more, as it was there last chance to run there Saleen at Le Mans and they would have definitely taken it to the Luc Alphand Corvette's.

i keep saying i need to go every year..

the action shots look a little soft to me? the static ones seem okay though so maybe its a shake issue? cant tell without EXIF tho really.

Yeah they're a little soft. I've not processed any of those posted. I've tweaked a few which seem to have worked much better.

Cracking photos. Been a few times and can't wait to go next year. Had to give it a miss this year. Just bought a 40d and will get some good lenses for next year + maybe 60D if it ever comes out..

Looks like you had some cracking vantage points!
