Don't know if anyone on here is a fan of Steel Panther, but I thought i'd give a heads up:

So as well as playing Download, they're playing a show at the 229 Club (London) on June 16th! I've got my tickets ready, can't wait!

For those not familiar with the works of steel panther check out youtube for some of their songs and interviews, they are one of the funniest bands out there, but they are also a great cover band for legends such as: Journey, Def Leppard, Poison, Van Halen etc... They also have a lot of special guest appearances on stage from Vince Vaughan to Avril Lavigne!

So did anyone go to this last night? Not expecting any replies really lol. Was an amazing show though. They played for nearly two hours :D

Yeah, Michael Stars vocals are astounding and Satchel's guitar playing is world class, he used to be a lecturer at the Guitar Institue of Technology in Hollywood in the early ninties. He did an amazing solo while the rest of the band took a quick 5 minute break (banging chicks and doing some blow backstage supposedly ;))
 
They were amazing at download and the crowd got fully behind them, awesome gig! As soon as I got back home from Donington I ordered Feel The Steel, cant wait to listen to it.
 
Damn I'm addicted to listening to them now!

Turn out the lights & Death to all but metal have constantly been on my playlist!
 
Did a search as I only heard this lot for the first time today.

I haven't laughed so hard for ages as I did when I saw the family friendly version of the "Death to all but Metal" video on various music sites. Replacing the naughty words with various comic noises was comedy genius.

Had to order the CD just to see what the rest of it is like :D
 
Oh my god they are fab ,never heard of them before-Sat here laughing away listening to a few of there tracks...fantastic stuff..:D..must admit I really liked the guitar player ,he's got a fantastic melodic soloing style!

Think I'll get there album :)
