What's wrong with the gold master? Why should I update again?

I didnt trust it, but thats just me lol. something downloaded from an un known source, i just prefer to have the genuine article from apple installed.

Mmm , when i try to send a message with a picture it flags with an error - message was not sent - try again ?

The only thing I really wanted it for was the landscape keyboard! Just got a friendly message saying my MMS would be set up and 2 seconds later I got a picture message from O2.
