Near where I work petrol is 106p a litre and diesel is 103p. I drive a diesel so haven't really noticed petrol prices until now so what's happened?! It's like the olden days again except they both cost twice as much as they used to :D

there is no consistency with the pricing in my area at the mo.

tescos and 1 shell garage is 101.9 petrol and 105.9 diesel

but another shell sarage a couple of miles away is 104.9 petrol and 103.9 diesel.

prices are getting silly again. perhaps the with the cutbacks in government expenses they can subsidise fuel prices slightly?

I could rant for ages about petrol prices. I've only been driving for 2 months and I've seen the price of petrol rise by 7p per litre since then. ~7% in 2 months. Jesus H Christ. Someone's taking the ****.

You're just going to have to suck it up like the rest of us I'm afraid. :(

Texaco down the road from me - petrol is 106 and diesel is 103. Sainsburys just a bit further on has diesel at 103 and petrol of 95!

Petrol's up to about 99.9/l where I live at the moment. Haven't checked diesel. Fortunately I'm no longer doing 40mi/day, so haven't needed to fill up my tank for a while now.. should probably do it soon though before it gets more expensive :( trade off between being less fuel-efficient by carrying more onboard, and paying more for it through waiting longer between fill-ups.

I'm just thankful that the only fuel I need to buy is for Sunday blasts on the bike and the racing. No matter how expensive it gets I'm pretty sure it wont affect me badly.

I love being within walking distance of work! :cool:

I noticed this too, aren't oil prices pretty low as well? I did hear some rubbish about rising costs but in reality I think it's just the greedy sods making us pay more.

I aint fussed about the petrol prices, i need petrol i will still buy it.

It is lower than when i first started driving still so no worries anyway :)

All I can say is...so?

Prices have been rising for years (dropping sometimes, but over all rising), and I couldn't careless, it costs whatever it costs. I need fuel, I fill up, I pay for it, it's that simple.

The gap has closed a lot round here, Asda were selling both at 99.9 until about tuesday when diesel sneaked up to 100.9 which is a massive change from last summer when diesel was running at about 12p more a litre. It's a bit of a relief for me as I opted for a diesel when the prices were only a few pence different and the extra gap was suddenly making my decision seem less than sensible.

Still more expensive here. I paid 109.9 for V-Power (petrol) last week, and paid 111.9 for V-Power (Diesel) yesterday.

Expensive++ :(

Is there any Texaco that actually has cheap petrol? I wonder how they manage to stay afloat. Always around 3p more then any of the nearest rivals.
