Petrol now more expensive than diesel?!

All I can say is...so?

Prices have been rising for years (dropping sometimes, but over all rising), and I couldn't careless, it costs whatever it costs. I need fuel, I fill up, I pay for it, it's that simple.

But thats one of the reasons why the govonment get away with bending us over and sharfting us everyday, because too many people let them do it.

We have been moulded and almost brain washed to except theres nothing we can do, except fill up and pay up.

Changing the subject ever so slightly

Why do you think the BNP got 2 seats in Europe???? when anything remoatly politicaly in correct is seen as wrong and we are made to feel guilty. Maybe the genaratration that has been seen or considered calataral damage for so long has finally turned round and thought enough is enough time to make them listen.

Not that i agree with BNP but these two 2 seats surly must send alarm bells ringing.

Sorry rant over and not aimed at any one.

I'm sure there is lots we can do, but I just don't care about fuel prices, I need fuel, so I fill up and pay whatever for it, it's never bothered me, and never will. I enjoy my cars and pay the price for it. :)

Certain filling stations sell petrol for more than diesel, some sell it at the same prices. But these are at independant ones that I've never heard of...

But at the likes of Shell and BP petrol is a penny behind diesel...

No. They may have fallen in $ terms, but we're not paying $s, we're paying £s; and the £ has fallen against the $.

The £ is at its highest point against the $ all year.

Both petrol and diesel would be under £1 if it wasn't for Mr Darlings *two* 2 pence duty increases, a total of 4 pence, in the last 9 months.

all tesco with in 10miles of me are
101.9 for 95 unleaded
101.9 for diesel
106.9 for 99 unleaded

thats the cheapest too sigh :(

Here in the Netherlands the petrol price increased from €1.20 to €1.50 since the beginning of the year, Diesel has not increased at all.

It looks like an (illegal) pricing agreement between petrol companies as the increase is not just because of the oil price is much higher.

Indeed. Is that news to anyone? The amount we pay in tax dwarfs the cost of the actual fuel.

I'm just thankful that the only fuel I need to buy is for Sunday blasts on the bike and the racing. No matter how expensive it gets I'm pretty sure it wont affect me badly.

I love being within walking distance of work!

Lol with all the job cuts your work place made don't count your chickens :D

I was just about to buy a Mondeo and I don't know what to buy now. Petrol or Diesel. Only would do 5-8k a year mileage and worried to buy a TDCi at the risk of the Dual mass flywheel breaking (£900) but now with Diesel cheaper than petrol it's a no brainer....assuming it stays in touch and doesn't suddenly rise. It's a lottery.

Lowest here for diesel is 101.6 (trago mills, newton abbot).
Highest here for diesel is 108.9 (texaco, kingsteignton).

I get my diesel from Morrisons, paignton which is 102.9

Petrol prices are on average 1-2p cheaper, apart from Texaco, Oggwell which is 1p dearer than diesel.

The Petrol price is going up faster now than a while ago when the oil price was sky high, so what the hell is causing the rising price? (other than the petrol companies collectively screwing us)
