***The Official iPhone 3.0 Thread***

Anyone else get a "Cannot connect to YouTube" error when trying to use the Youtube app?

(iPhone 2G, upgraded via iTunes from 2.2.1 jailbroken to 3.0)

Have you tried again?
Go to Devices > iPhone > Summary > Check for Update

Mine did the same as yours, clicked check for update again and it worked fine.

Restarted my laptop and it then worked fine :)

Anyone like me not got the text with the MMS settings ?

Meh to all 3.0 features. The best feature as most have noticed by now is the fact that typing lol no longer results in LOL.

If you chose to "x" the suggestion it would have learned "lol" instead ;)

I chucked my 3G in recovery mode, downloaded the update and restored first time. This was around 8pm last night, so I was suprised the servers didn't collapse. I did notice the iTunes store was slow however. Oh and PayPal app is crashing on login.. congrats!

Tested the "find my iPhone" feature and it found me, but pointlessly it doesn't give you an option to "find directions to here" or even give you an address.. it's a bit like they expect you to figure out where it is on the map. Seems like an oversight when they're just using a Google Maps API

Not noticed any cool new features I'll be using.. perhaps the stock application and the landscape keyboard.

Nice free 3G tethering! Using it now no problem and I am on Simplicity :)

(Oh and I'll take the thank you's via paypal ;))

Even though Fstop11 already posted the link above? ;)

Got the profile installed here but don't have a cable to test it out, and the PC i'm using doesn't have bluetooth.

I have the following settings (O2 UK iPhone 35 tariff). 3G is still working, but MMS isn't enabled by 02 yet :(

Code:
Cellular data
APN: idata.o2.co.uk
Username: vertigo
Password: password

Visual Voicemail
(same as "Cellular data")

MMS
APN: idata.o2.co.uk
Username: vertigo
Password: password
MMSC: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002
MMS Proxy: 193.113.200.195:8080
MMS Max Message Size: 307200

Quoting myself seeing as no one else could be bothered to answer :( .... doing a DFU restore of 3.0 fixed Youtube. Lesson learnt: Don't just upgrade a 2.2 jailbroken phone using iTunes, even if it lets you :)

argh this is all confusing regarding settings. This morning on the way to work 3G went totally **** up on my 3G and I hadn't even touched any network settings. I'm going to try Hatter's url above because that's the first I've heard of it.

Just done the tethering thing and set up MMS so I'm happy.

I won't be able to test the tethering until I get home tonight but the profile install was a piece of cake and it hasn't broken my MMS.
