UK 'must plan' for warmer future

When it rain hard Monday night, my garage got flooded for the first time since I moved in 12 years ago. The dry weather meant the water couldn't absorb into the ground diverting it in the roads. It doesn't help when fields are turned into concrete housing areas. The water which once absorbed in to ground heads straight into storm drains which must be feeling the strain. From what i saw, the drains where taking too much in one hit.

Mine was just the garage and that was frightening enough.. I can't begin to think how people must feel who have their homes flooded. :(

We're already planning - get the BBQ out again, we'll just become a nation of outdoor cookers like South Africa, Australia and Brazil/Argentineans.
