Your favoruite email client?

I have been using email clients less and less these days but I like to have one on my laptop, I like the lookout and general functions of outlook but it's just so resource heavy.

Thunderbird is pretty underdeveloped and I'm not particularly a fan.

Any other good email programs out there preferably for free?

I know a few people think it's quite good but I have no idea if it is resource heavy or whatever.

I ahve been using Thunderbird for a long time now and just love it. Perfect for me and ahve it on my desktop and on my netbook. I used to use Thunderbird for RSS feeds as well but I kept marking them as read on my desktop and then when I went to my phone or netbook I would ahve to reread all the ones on there that I had already red so I signed up with the newsgator and use Feed Demon on my desktop and netbook and newsgator go on my phone.

Gmail with offline access? I moved from Thunderbird to Gmail about 9months ago and haven't looked back

There's a firefox plugin called glasser that makes it all glassy does it exist for thunderbird?

Thunderbird, Evolution has a Windows version I think although I've never tried it. They're all much of a muchness. I find Outlook fine and can't say I've ever considered it resource heavy.

I used to use Windows Live Mail as well as Outlook for my Exchange account but now I just use Outlook exclusively for my Exchange account and I use the Outlook Connector for my Hotmail account. TBH there probably isn't an email client that offers everything that Outlook does out of the box.

I've grown to really like Outlook with my Exchange account. Although if I could get the features of Outlook with the responsiveness of something like Chrome then I'd switch in a flash

Not personally used a stand alone email client in years.

Sky Mail & Gmail do it all for me just fine.

My favourate is Outlook Web Access using hosted exchange (£5 a month) which works great as I can have my email client in a tab in firefox.
For an actual client I use outlook

I think I'll have to go back to outlook, windows live mail is ok but it's just really insubstantial, even the layout is just one big white blob, there's no structure.
