Your favoruite email client?

outlook and windows live(on netbook), although windows live keeps throwing back error reports like the program is not responding or not closed properly even tho its already been closed and checked in proccesses to make sure!!!

used outlook for yrs.

Outlook (XP on my crappy Lappy, 2003 on my Server & 2007 on my HTPC Lappy).. only so I can sync my nomnomnia (mainly on the 2007 version) with it!... not found any other programs that let me do that!!..

Plus tried Thunderbird, and it never felt quite finished!..

I have been using email clients less and less these days but I like to have one on my laptop, I like the lookout and general functions of outlook but it's just so resource heavy.

Thunderbird is pretty underdeveloped and I'm not particularly a fan.

Any other good email programs out there preferably for free?

To answer the thread title, my favourite is MS Office Outlook 2003. It does everything I need, has a contact list and a decent calendar which I use from time to time.

It's relatively light, using only 35MB of RAM and runs quietly at 0% CPU usage - the max I've seen Outlook 2003 use is 5% CPU and 40MB RAM when sending/receiving/reading emails.

Craig.

Currently use Outlook for my hotmail and Gmail for itself.

Although with hotmail forcing me to use different software/plugins in September, will probably go Gmail only.

Windows Mail is pretty good as was Outlook Express. Not tried Thunderbird but going to give it a go shortly.

I think I'll have to go back to outlook, windows live mail is ok but it's just really insubstantial, even the layout is just one big white blob, there's no structure.

The first version of Live Mail was definately better looking than the latest version. One of the reasons for going exclusively to Outlook.
