It's trying too hard if you ask me. It does tend to seem like the two lads are up their own backsides.

Heh, quite possible, but I find that hillariouse.

P.s I've told the guys about the font thing for the people who mentioned that.
 
There's an art forum I visit regularly, the first rule of the forum they have is:

- NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR WEBCOMIC

I think we should add similar for GD :p

The term I used when they first came up with it is "hold all the significance of gobbing into a river" which is a Yahtzi quote but I think is rather appropriate.
 
The problem is it's impossible not to draw parallels to PA, especially when the 'ziggy' guy chooses to write in such a similar style...
I don't really understand what the 'point' of the comic/site is though, what's the focus? You can't just have a semi-amusing strip and a limp bit of text (which I notice sometimes they don't even bother with?) - because then what's the point in reading it? It would be like reading someones private thought processes, why would you care?

That is largely the point, they arn't doing this for anyone else. I personaly find PA aweful, the first hundred or so strips were OK but then it just got a bit...dull, also I find the art to be horrible to look at.

Penny Arcade is incredibly hit and miss. The worst thing about it is the horrific pompous scrawlings of 'Gabe'. Honestly, he needs to take his head out of his stomache, it's in far further than his arse.

If you want a truly unfunny comic, read Ctl Alt Del.
