hey all, given my problems with heat in my thermaltake va8000bws at the moment. What cases could people suggest for a crossfire build + i7 that want to be overclocked and cooled sufficiently.

Price, £100 max (preferably £50-70) and must have a decent cable management system such as the ability to stuff cables behind the motherboard + holes to feed them through.

I would like to recommend the Coolermaster HAF932 or HAF922, I bought the HAF922 and think its great, The looks you either like or hate. I don't mind the looks as I wanted a case with very good airflow and watercooling ready.

if you wanrt a more conservative case in the looks department they you may want to be thinking about the coolermaster cm690

Looks are not a major concern to me anymore... years back maybe but not now :P.

Main factor is does it do its job well, is it reasonably priced and does it fit my noctua cpu cooler.

I have seen lots of talk about this HAF case? Is it really that good? The fan system looked kind of good.

What is the cm690 like for cable management. Is there plenty of room behind the motherboard plate?

High Air Flow 932. Does exactly what it says on the tin :)

I replaced the big side fan with 4x120mm but it already pushes plenty of air with the default fans.

The cm690 has just had a price drop and falls into your preferred budget. I can't vouch for that case though.

The 690 is realy nice case to work with.
It wont win any awards in the cooling deparment stock, but if you shove 2x extra fans in the roof and a scythe bay cooler in the front its very effective.

Yeah the cable management in the HAF looks nice, was looking at your post the other day. Thing is... my case atm is worth £120 and throwing it out seems like a HUGE waste. Not sure how to sell it though, not sure it would fetch much on eBay.

Antec 300 actually looks quite nice, simple and elegant. Does it cool well though?

I really have to sell this thermaltake though, and cant use the forum on here yet :(

Avoid the 300 mate, its simply not worth 45 sheets. Its a 30 quid case at best.

CM690 is now only a tenner more and has oodles more room and proper cable management.
