***Official OcUK Exam Results Thread***

There are som stupendusly high marks in this thread, looks like OcUK is full of brainiacs. :p

I don't get mine until the beginning of july I think.

Passed all my exams at college first time and had my City and Guilds pack signed off and with a week to spare, glad its all done, on to Level 3 in September.

Hoping for AAC in my A levels next month. Business Studies, Economics and Maths respectively. Picked up 100% in my Business Studies coursework which I am really pleased about. It brings my average right up.

I get my 2nd year university result in mid-july.
I'm hoping for a high 2:2 or 2:1, and then a continuation of that into 1st year to get a 2:1 overall, maybe pushing for a first.

Well I got my Med School results a bit a go and...I passed, thats all they tell you in medicine, pass or fail. Graduation is next month :).

My results were meant to go up at 3.

They still aren't up. It takes the mick that they've known for days and can't put it up at 3 on the dot

What is the pass mark for medicine? I know you can pass a lot of degrees with 40% but I cant imagine a doctor who got more wrong than right haha

I passed, just. Just waiting on an open unit result now.

At Bristol, it's 50%, in the first year at least.

Nicely done indeed, I assume you're going to end up with some sort of starred first?

We get our classifications in 10 days time, then actual exam marks a couple of weeks after. Coursework averaged at 86% this year after getting 84% for 2nd year but I'm not expecting anywhere near that for exams as I had quite a lot of time off ill right before exam period (and I don't think they would have gone that well anyway :p).

I don't even know what a starred first is :o

I think it's just the different levels though the highest mark in the class gets a special award.

Hope the results work out for you, did the lecturers know you were ill as they may have taken that into account?

So basically if you get better than a 1:1 live die ratio you pass? :p Congrats on the result and to all who have got the marks they were looking for.

Not had my proper results in the post yet, but there is a pass list up on the Staffs website.
Got a Pass with honours - 2.1 :)

Well happy, it's what I wanted!

Starred first here (otherwise known as First with Distinction) is 80% overall with no piece of assessed work being below 70%. Apparently they award them once every 5 years or so - getting above 70% in everything is pretty tricky.

They've got me down as the highest level of concern when it comes to illness affecting results, so fingers crossed for that first still :o

Congrats to everyone getting their results, looks like everyone's happy so far :)

im getting my as level results in Augest, most probably failed politics, but hopefully got decent grade in media and photography

Depends where you go, it can also include an automatic fail for the bottom 20%ish. Just hope you got someone from a bright year. ;)

Oh well, one of my results was 68% but every other result was >80% with four above 90%.

OK...well at leicester for finals its 75% in the written paper (2x2.5hrs totalling 30 questions) and in the clinical (3.5hr practical of 7 clinical stations) you have to get no more than 20 de-merit points I think. Fail either and you end up re-sitting both and about 1 in 5 of our year is re-sitting.

Just did the calculations: 90% average for my honours which is a first although the classification isn't official yet. should come through in a week. I got the highest grade achievable for my dissertation though :D

Edit: think i just scraped a first as the requirements are 50% of credits at A level (i got 75%) and the rest have to be B or higher. One of my weak modules rounds UP to a B... Hope it still counts!

Finished my final A2 exam yesterday morning, now 2 months of freedom until results. :D

Need an AAA for Electrical + Electronic Engineering @ Imperial, and I'm feeling pretty confident I've got them. I just hope I didn't screw anything up too badly...

Results day is the day after my 18th birthday, it's slightly harsh :(
