Silverstone- Great Britain Grand Prix 2009 - Race 8/17

I think the top 3 was running on fumes to get them times
because they never got near to them times after they put some fuel in.

Toyota/williams are looking good and I can see LH finishing in the top 6.
Brawn, well is he sandbagging again like monaco? or has JB/RB got problems..

ROFL, were we?

Haha :D

New nose on that car looks like it is doing the job mate - shame its a bit ugly ;)

You should see the floor!

7 day weeks for the last 6 weeks to basically rebuild the cars from ground-up. The performance gain is nice though. The front wing/nose assembly is huge, you dont realise quite how big it is until you see 2 blokes trying to load it into a transit van :D

Just got back from Silverstone and I can barely hear a thing. We're on the terrace on the first corner so it's plenty loud enough!

I never seen cars move this quickly, or change direction this quickly for that matter, incredible.

As an added bonus, we got home to find we've won two tickets to Goodwood on friday courtesy of The Sunday Times, so it's been a good day all round :)

Anyone know anything more about the problem Webber had? That was an almighty bang on that curb. *looks at CS Nuts*

Hello people! Have I missed much then? :D

Everyone suing each other.
Piquet spinning off.
RBR being damn quick!
Hamilton above Button in the timesheets
More people suing each other

etc. :p

Just got back after being stuck in traffic on the M40 which was fun.

Anybody got an idea of the number of spectators for today? Never seen it that rammed on a Friday in the past five or six years I've been!

Just been watching the replays on the red button and it looked packed. I think I might have to leave earlier tomorrow!

When I went a few years back, we left Bristol at 3am. We got into Silverstone about half 5 in the morning (we parked in the park and ride thingy) and I can still remember to this day how amazed I was to see so many thousands upon thousands of people, wide awake at half 5 in the morning.

Red Bull win this weekend I think. Not sure which one, hopefully webber.

Listening to 5 live on the way home, great stuff on Jenson with loads of sportmen like Rossi asking questions. A good piece on Jenson and Lewis as well.

Lewis really seems to have gotten his act back together now regarding learning some humility. Jenson too made comments about how bad he was in the early days.

I think this bad year for Lewis will really help him to appreciate the better years with much more of a smile on his face.

It seems to have got busier over the years. One year I arrived at 9am on raceday and didn't hit a queue until on the road into the circuit after the dual carriageway. Last year I arrived at 9am again and I was queuing for quite a distance on the dual carriageway, but on saturday this time.
Planning to park behind club corner this time so I'll be coming from the south. Hopefully it wont be too bad.
