Silverstone- Great Britain Grand Prix 2009 - Race 8/17

Seems to be doing a lot more on TV than Hamilton (even when he was winning)?

And amazingly people are not getting fed up of Button on TV because he actually does interesting things and comes across as a nice guy :)

Just got back after being stuck in traffic on the M40 which was fun.

Anybody got an idea of the number of spectators for today? Never seen it that rammed on a Friday in the past five or six years I've been!
Reports of upto 80,000. That's more than I saw on qualifying 2 years ago.

It seems to have got busier over the years. One year I arrived at 9am on raceday and didn't hit a queue until on the road into the circuit after the dual carriageway. Last year I arrived at 9am again and I was queuing for quite a distance on the dual carriageway, but on saturday this time.
Planning to park behind club corner this time so I'll be coming from the south. Hopefully it wont be too bad.

I expect it depends on how well teh bristish drivers are doing.

I expect it will be the busiest weekend for years possibly ever.

Not only will you have Hamiltons fans who booked last year, you'll have Buttons fans who booked this year. You'll have loads of fans going as it's the last at Silverstone and just to cap it of we have had good weather.

I just had Silverstone live on the phone courtesy of Creature, I told him not to talk, just let me listen! :D

Lap record will be beaten in Qualifying 2 without a shadow of doubt (well. unless it rains)

Rosberg - 18.889
Schumi's 2004 record - 18.739

That lap onboard Vettel before he cocked up the end was immense. So much quicker than the others I've seen so far.
