A passenger in a passing car lobbed a beer bottle at me last night, just missed the car. Reason I'm posting this is because I got some of it on film and I need it sharpening up as I can't read the plate. I'm useless with videos, I know how to cut off the end of a clip, but can't edit the start so it's 650mb.

It seems to me they were going to throw a bottle at the first car they saw, I'm sure it wasn't personal :). If the bloke in the back had chucked it a second earlier I think it could have been a bit messy. Straight through an open window onto a persons bonce is not a good way to start a weekend.

Anybody fancy a go? Would prefer a trusted Motors regular, any help would be appreciated. Cheers.
 
Dangerous is probably your best bet, I haven't got Final Cut Pro on this comp, only standard iMovie.
 
I know nothing about video editing but I really hope that the video can be sharpened up enough to use as evidence against the brain dead tool.

It was saved as a .mov and the original size was 1.1gb (15 minutes). I cut off the last 11 minutes to minimise file size but it exported as an .avi at 650mb? Don't really have a clue what I'm doing, it looks the same quality as the original, but the .avi is upped already. Shall send you the link now, ta.
 
Sent. Forgot to add in the message that if you can't see the plate from the front, fast forward a bit as I looped back around and caught them up.
 
I can have a look for a second opinion if you want. Been video editing at work all week, I might be able to get something out of it (might be able to grab a still and play with it in Photoshop. Trust info is up to date :)

It's a real shame there are people like this out there. I had a moment of self control in a car park last night where some idiot cut me up as I was trying to slowly manouvre with a crap turning circle in a taight space and he just drove past me giving it everything he had for absolutely no reason, the brake tested me towards the exit and jumped out. I went to unlock the door and jump out but reversed back and went on my way before I got myself in trouble over some selfish moron.
 
I've sent two, one to ask you to have a look at the thread, another to your reply with a description of what happened. Did you get both?

Bugger. Didn't fancy hanging behind them for too long, another beer could have been wasted, thought a few seconds with the camera would suffice. Anything I can do to improve the clip?

Your headlights overblow any readable characters really. Is the 1.1GB any better quality? I can give you some ftp details to upload that to me if you wish.

Bit of a bizzare incedent. Some selfish people around aren't there.
 
Bad really, uncalled for as well, no need to do something like that at all. Hate idiot drivers who think they are smart?

Like the other day, I went round the roundabout a white van pulled right out infront of me I had to slam on breaks then I went forward after hitting horn, he tailgatted right up the back of me swerving back and fourth so I kept tapping the break and he swerved onto the bus lane, swerving back and fourth as cars were parked, and going into my lane constantly and back out. Then he slowed up and they tried to throw rubbish? out onto my car but missed so I gave the boy the finger and told him to take the next left then his pal in the van tried to give winks to my bird. I took the next length and they just drove past.

I love it really how people act the big man in cars, but they run a mile as soon as their out of the car, if your big enough to throw a bottle at someones car, then your big enough to get out and square go.

Not really any different, but thank you for the offer and having a go. And yep, don't know what that was all about really, just wish the camera was turned 90 degrees to left for the comedy rage.

Aye, but I had the distinct feeling that the three blokes would have gladly stepped out to explain why it's ok to throw glass bottles at moving cars. They looked like nutjobs to be honest and seriously ****** off.
