Help picking holiday destination

Hey, I'm going on holiday with a group of guys for around a week at the end of August but can't decide conclusively on a destination yet.

We definitely want somewhere hot to top up the tan a bit, I would like the opportunity to engage with women in bars and what have you although don't want to hinge the holiday on this as I believe our chances are slim.

Everyone else probably will want a good few drinks but I don't so lots of activities for me to do would be good, like theme parks or something to really keep me busy.

I've come up with a short-list of rough destinations (some are a bit vague):

1. Spain
2. Greece
3. Cyprus
4. Egypt
5. Turkey
6. Bulgaria
7. Florida
8. Mexico
9. Thailand
10. Hong Kong
11. Japan
12. Australia
13. California
14. Cuba
15. Brazil

Can anyone sell anywhere to me more or rule some destinations out? Some might be already due to time and budget constraints, I just jotted down a list of places that interested me really.

You are probably best going somewhere in europe for a week unless you can extend it to 2 weeks

I noticed you put Florida on the list, if you are thinking theme parks for this destination and are also using the words budget then I would re-consider. It's not cheap

Vegas does sound like a good call if you want things to keep you busy. 1 week is not a lot of time and you don't want to be spending a large portion of your time travelling to places.

from what i have heard yes...cheap too. BTW i would recommend spain or greece or turkey but i guess you already been there , so...

I'd rule out most of the long-haul trips for a week's holiday. As it's a 'lads holiday' cost could also be a factor (even if you've got the cash, others might not) making Europe a fairly safe bet.
