What is the deal with men wearing long shorts nowadays?

I look great in my shorts -

I should act my age though.

Son of a... now I got Ace of Spades playing through my head :D

Gotta say though. Talking about fashion sense on a online computer forum probably isn't the best idea.

Wouldn't like to imagine how many people here have bench/lonsdale/diadora/umbro/donnay/stripey jumpers in their wardrobe

you really have no clue do you lol. as if everyone here is a nerd who cant shop for themselves or have some idea about 'fashion'!

So you're telling me the majority of people on this computer based forums wear designer clothing?

Stop trying to provoke me you tool.

I have to agree with Morba, you're making huge assumptions about the member base

I own quite a bit of so called designer gear although I don't tend to spend as much on it these days

Provoke you? lol, why would i bother :D

You just need to open your eyes instead of thinking that we are all spotty little kids sat in a dark room trying to hack into the government or somthing

i wear them because i dont want to show the world my thighs and id feel silly and maybe colder wearing shorter ones unless it was very hot and sunny

the only reason men wore shorter shorts in the past was because the longer ones where not around. the only choices where full length or shorts

longer shorts offer the sense of feeling covered up but with the coolness/breeze and freedom of shorts. perfect for british summer weather if you ask me

im talking about knee length by the way.

I reckon a lot of people do pay at least some attention and shop at fairly decent places. ASOS like you mentioned, Uniqlo and Zara are where I get most of my stuff ;)

I wear shorts that go to my knee because I like them and I find them generally more comfy. I wear shorter shorts when I play football as they dont restrict my movements like longer shorts would.

Another example is: Why do guys not wear speedo's any more? I know I don't because

1: im not german
2: they are uncomfy
3: im not a pedo

Innocent enough comment if you ask me. Most people posting on forums of computer hardware retailers could probably be accused of being social misfits who don't dress great. Outside gd he maybe wouldn't be a million miles off the mark.

It could be argued that just because you shop in some chav designer label store doesn't mean you have a sense of style, 'fashion', whatever. I'd go as far as to say the majority of Brits have limited style when compared with most of Europe.

Plenty of people wear swimming trunks. When was the last time you went to a country with a warm climate?
