The best Nuts...

There is a real good trader of nuts on the web based in Lebanon, search for the monocle article on them. I ordered some Macademia from there, and wow.. the ones you eat now are little midgets compared to these premium nuts. They have lots of flavours and packs, try them out as they are considered the "Rolls Royce" of nuts.

As for my favourite. It has to be curried cashews from India, damn they are amazing.. only if they didn't contain so much fat :(

best nuts for me are good old Planters dry roasted.
I have only found them at Waitrose - but they also do 3 flavoured by Planters...

The unique collection has three Asian-inspired flavoured peanuts including aromatic mustard and horseradish Japanese Wasabi; fragrant and zingy Malaysian Kaffir Lime and Green Chilli and warming coconut and coriander Indonesian Gado Gado.

I tried these 3 but wasn't impressed with them.
nothing compares to good old dry roasted - the nice thing about Planters is that are softer than supermarket own brand.
those are like tryna eat a handful of salty gravel.

honey roasted cashews :p Om Nom Nom

I only like raw (i.e. not roasted, salted or cooked in any way) nuts. My favourites are pine nuts and cashew nuts but I eat most of the other common ones as well. I eat an equal amount of sunflower and pumpkin seeds too. :)

How about your least favourite nut? For it is that rougue hazelnut, which to all intents and purposes looks just like any other hazelnut, but when you pop it in your mouth and take a bite you realise its the one nut in the packet which has gone off. There is no taste more difficult to get rid of than the taste of a rancid hazelnut.

Also, Almonds. Why do they insist on filling out every Tesco christmas mixed nut bag with these? Everyone leaves them till last, because no one likes them. They have naff shells with crumbly bits that go everywhere, and how come the nut inside tastes nothing at all like marzipan? If it did there wouldn't be a problem. Almonds. Banal-monds.
