Would it be unrealistic to say that ITV2 have broadcasted this 50 times this year? It's a great film and I have to drag myself away from the tv everynight when ITV2 broadcast it.

Don't worry you aren't the only that feels the same way. Shame its the stupid edited version though. It's been a long time since I've seen the full uncut version with the extra scenes and full violence on standard TV though.

Am I the only one that prefers the skimmed version? I don't like the version with the dream of Kyle and what not, as much.

This one Locke, why the :o?

I got the Skynet Bluray and what are they thinking have 5mins of introductions and promotional crap in the menus before you can watch the movie.

Also I thought the transfer looks a bit soft. Same encode as the previous blu-ray I believe.

No. By and large the cinema release is tauter and better edited than the extended version. Cameron's second worse vice (after his terrible scripts) is over-indulgence. The only bits of the extended version that should be in the film are the bits where the T1000 starts to malfunction. For a start, it makes the fact that he can't recover from his final wound make more sense. For a second, a fight where both machines are being damaged, and it's a case of which keeps going, strikes me as far more interesting than one where one machine appears invincible. The latter makes the end almost a deus ex machina.

And on the subject of Cameron and extended versions, can I just say that the extended version of Aliens is worse than the cinema version. Slightly more interesting about Ripley's daughter, but not really relevant. And the sentry guns seem to exist for the sole purpose of making teenage boys cream themselves. Although once that bit is removed, the bit about how the
aliens get in makes no sense... And the opening sequence in the colony was just unnecessary.

The Sentry guns also explain the severe lack of Aliens at the end, the guns wiped most of them out. Without that scene, it is never explained or evident why the aliens don't swarm the marines etc........

.........plus, it IS a cool scene! :D

add jurassic park 3 all 3 fast and furious films and true lies, to the very small film catalogue that itv2 seems to only have.

JP3 has been on i think 3 times since friday.

As for terminitor 2 it drags on far to long with adverts sandwich in, its telvision run time must come in at over 2 and half hours.

I also think the extended version of T2 is much worse, especially with the whole 'making him more human' surgery and the cringe dream sequence dialogue - "on your feet soldier!" :o

Don't suppose anyone got the sky net edition on Blu ray, really nice transfer and loads of extra features.

I like the film, and I have the original extended edition in the metal tin on DVD, I dont think I like it enough to blow out on it again though.
