I'm going to pick up a tripod tonight and take some pics of paused BLu-Rays.
Anyone got any tips for taking decent photos of live TV though... is a bounce flash essential? I'll pick up some batteries tonight and experiment.

I think he meant via the DSUB Socket. All the pannys ive had have only done 1366x768 through the socket, id asume this is the same.
yea i read the review but something has previously lead me to believe that it was only able to do 1680x1050 / 1366x768 or so and i was wondering if you had the genuine native res or if it had upscaled from a slightly lower res?

I forgot to buy a tripod today too... went into the shopping centre, did my food shopping, and then thought to myself "have I forgotten anything?" before walking home like a goldfish. I will get one tomorrow, so help me God. Considering watching Hulk now... but it's a long film and it's a schoolnight...

You have my solemn oath that I will pick up a tripod tonight and then figure out how to take good pics of the plasma in low light without having to pause the TV. I'm hoping my Metz 58 bounce flash will be enough.
Oh and I tried the Streetfighter IV demo on it and I can't express how frakkin unbelievable it looked... I want you all to come to my house and stare at it with me.
If anyone has the cash and is looking for a new TV, buy this, it will be the best purchase you make all year.

Only 42 as our room is small, originally we were going with a 37 but thought everyone always wishes they'd got the next size up so why not just do that

Bar a small 20inch in the bedroom (ooh err) we've never had a new tv, always had my parents hand me downs
The 28inch Panasonic CRT we've got is great for a smaller/old tv, but really wanting some big screen goodness now.
