Asus GeForce GTX 295 Mars Edition

Considering how limited it is I'm not surprised at the price really, it's a real collectors item rather than something a normal person would pick as their next upgrade.

You think that's expensive? What until they release the Jupiter version.

^^^^ Notice how much bigger Jupiter is compared to Mars? Relatively that's how much more expensive it's going to be

Haha you legend what a way to put it, couldnt put it better myself.

just to sum up for those who are too lazy to click the link this "mars addition is really just ne new card that Asus released before NVIDIA could.

So would this card give me a notable improvement @ 800x600 (8-bit colour) over my Voodoo 1
(*note - not actually being serious )

Still over a month away...

The price even for what what it is is a joke - I'm pretty sure my overclocked 260GTX SLI setup isn't that far behind it and the setup cost me under £300 all in.

Well bound to be some loaded people with more money than sense buy one lol.

If I was a millionaire I woudnt buy one, the normal GTX295 is more than sufficient & I'll admit I was daft paying £300ish about 4 months ago taking into account the sale of my previous card.

You could buy an entire rig with more graphics performance than that card alone would give, for the same price.

I expected something like £700, simply because it's more performance and limited edition, but £1000? No way.

Although I suppose it might be quite a good "collector's piece", to keep, and sell on when the price goes up. If there's only going to be 1000 in the world, I can imagine the price hiking up when they're all gone.

Is the 1792MB in the title a typo? it says 4GB in description something doesn't add up. :p

Gosh, it makes normal GTX 295's look like a bargain.
