Piece of advice here - don't lead with your head, you're not a cat so don't have whiskers to tell you where your head is in terms of proximity to other objects.

And happily I can so far say that I've never slammed my head in a taxi door or indeed any other body part.

I know it was pretty bad, it was after a night out, he made it home and was found unconcious outside his house. Passers by just thought he was sleeping it off (lol!) untill his neighbour tried to wake him and couldnt!

My Father in law drove a London cab for many years and was always telling us how people banged their heads on the doors. He always tried to tell passengers to close the doors carefully, but in his opinion, people always thought that you should slam the doors.

My grandma actually manged to gash her head open on the taxi door once too.

If I have my hair loose in the summer and drive with the window down, I generally manage to shut it in the electric window of the car.

I dropped a pen, bent over to pick it up and the doors shut on my head everyone found it highly amusing
