Adrian Flux

Flux have been excellent for me on the past 10 cars, stunning service and honoured my club discounts (still got the Corvette Club 15% off :D) in all instances. Very quick service whenever I needed anything changing or updating too :)

I could probably get it a bit cheaper if I tried - but they are very flexible with what I want or need to do and that's a big plus that I haven't found elsewhere :)

Insured my 200SX, MkII MR2 and the GTO through Flux with no issues at all though Sky became significantly cheaper for the GTO at renewal. Must say, I pay about £20 more than I could get my insurance for to be with Privilege - excellent service, cover both of my cars, very professional and very very courteous on the phone. Like them a lot.

Now all you've got to do is try Brentacre and Chris Knott to see if they'll beat Flux, as their service is far better according to word on the web.

I was insured with flux my 1st year i got my 200. Refused to match the price that A-plan. However i recently had a bit of trouble with A-Plan i change the car on the policy to a mondeo in March as the 200 was going off road for engine rebuild.

Fast forward to last week. On the M6 get pulled over by the police for no insurance. It took 40 minutes for them to confirm i was actually insured. In A-Plan's defence they did ring me when i eventually made it to work but still its a pretty big mistake to make.

Adrian Flux quote for me was ridiculous £3k+

I'll get a quote again this time around but I can't see one year making much of a difference.

Posted a similar thread on another forum and received some similar comments... not good :p

Fingers crossed I don't have to claim then! I did have to claim when I was with Elephant and they finally sorted that one out a few months ago... 3 years on!

Chris Knott

I did actually try Chris Knott first of all and they came back with £829. That didn't include breakdown cover or DOC, so that was when I rang Adrian Flux.

Completely forgot about Sky, HIC and A-Plan.

I'm ditching Flux at the end of the year. Cheap, yes, but I keep reading horror stories all over the place and they still haven't finalised the policy I took out just after christmas.

Well I've been reading up on my feedback about them and to be honest they seem no worse/better than any of the other insurers out there they all seem to have a fair amount of horror stories and good praises.

Just used them to insure 2 cars, Mini Cooper came in a £365 and Mustang £445, fully comp both, all mods declared, protected NCB.

Same old thing in some respects, you'll only ever hear the bad stories and not the hundreds, thousands, of other people going around with no issue whatsoever. Worth bearing in mind :)

Well I started my policy with them earlier, £740 including legal cover for my Leon with uprated brakes and exhaust.

My renewal from Admiral was ~£1080, the cheapest quotes I got were from Quinn Direct (~£1050) and Greenlight (~£960) so Flux were cheapest by far.

They also cover my brakes and Exhaust Like-For-Like which Admiral and Quinn would not (although Greenlight would)

I've dealt with insurance companies once before, and they were fantastic (Bell iirc.) but I was given a shocking solicitor who decided he'd string everything out over 5 months when it should have been sorted within 1 month, if I'm unlucky enough to claim I'll make sure I don't get given the same solicitors!

Like Lashout says though, you always hear the horror stories more than the stories from customers singing their praises.

I've have rude people on the end of the line from both Flux and Chris Knott insurance.... and neither of them could beat the £400 (inc extras, FC) that Churchill offered me (Even WITH owners club discounts.)

Maybe try them when I turn 24 but they don't want to know at 21 it seems.

I get great quotes/prices from Flux, Cost me 119 quid for a years Insurance in my Vitara & less than 200 quid for the Camper. I don't care what they are like with claims as I don't make them.

Indeed. You can't beat Flux for a TPFT quote on the latest ****box acquisition. £235 I just paid :D
