any ideas why I'm limited to 60FPS ?

I set the framerate to variable but still only get 60FPS regardless of the res.

using latest nvidia drivers

Yeah slap V-Sync off, but that will make the game run as fast as the frame rate, benchmark could be over in seconds

When I try and print screen all I get is black when I paste it.

Anyway, I got my new Arctic Freezer Pro 64 today so overclocked my 4200+ to 2.64ghz got a fairly good increase, my ranking is now A with the default settings!

Maxed settings @ 1920 x 1200. CPU really at 3.8ghz.

I can't even get this to run! I can get to the main menu but as soon as i try to start the benchmark it just goes to a black screen

Spec is below before any one asks

AM2 6000+ @ 3ghz
8gb DDR2 PC6400
9800GT 512mb

Heres mine, still love my 8800 gts 640, nothing it cant run

God knows why it has at the bottom you might want to run on higher? everything is maxed out.

Thats with everything maxed out, if i do it on low apart from the 16x i get just under 29000.

Was anyone else a bit gobsmacked at how much better this looks compared to the console versions ?

Not really if you are playing on a console quite often you will be sat a tad further back than you would when playing on a PC.

At a distance they really don't look much different, PC looks a bit sharper but that's about it.

Also the game syncs frame by frame to the other persons client I think, so what happens if some reject is trying to play the game too high for his system and he's dropping below 60 constantly? I'd also be worried about hackers/macro users on PC when playing online.

I take it you are supposed to keep v-sync on for the game to play at the correct framerate?

With V-sync on the game looks like it is playing at the correct speed but is capped at around 60fps.

With V-sync off I get around 112fps but the game looks like it is playing at totally the wrong speed, everything is far too fast.

I also had this concern but apparently 'that's not how it works' according to Kreeee so hopefully it should be ok.

I might get it, I haven't played SF since the beginning of May now though.

Something was not maxed out as your frame rate is higher than people with massively better GPU's. The list in settings goes down for quite some way.

Just ran this on my 50" plasma (i'm getting sick of seeing that typed now but I can't help it) at the following settings...

*1900*1080
*E6600 @ 2.4ghz (fanless)
*4870 1GB @ stock
*8xAA
*16xAF
*Everything to max and ink on

...and got a smidgeon under (58fps or something) 60fps average. Words simply cannot express how farkinffurking AMAZING it looked especially with vsynch. The picture was so pefect I thought I was going to get a fireball to the face.

**** me I think I need to go lie down, it's not healthy to love a TV this much...

I am so going to buy this game.

Aye. Will be good, tho only select ppl who agree no special fighting game hardware or macros. Keyboard (urgh) or a normal but nice joypad with no auto functions.
