just how disrespectful are you trying to be? dementia and dumb nuts in the same sentence................you ****! how bloody rude!

Hehe. for once the actual question is dumber than trying to go for the answer. Ask a medium.

When you die you lose sense of reality and go into a dying state, you would probably have life flash infront of you in a crazed physicdellic experience, kind of like a dream like state, you might even imagine God at this stage, I could imagine the brain to run wild when your dying.

After that passes and your brain is like ... dead, then it's like ... nothing, the world is the same just without YOU, no God, no rebirth. :(

I wanna live forever!!!! :(

All evidence suggests that death is mearly the total failure of the conscious and unconscious mind. The body is then disposed of. As egocentric beings, we find this hard to accept and make up stories about it to cheer us up a touch. This makes it eaiser to accept that total nothingness awaits and you wont even be aware of it.

I can think of nothing worse than life after death. Death is my final chance to stick two fingers up at the world and finally cop it, when im turned off I want to be off, not come back and find more crap to deal with.

Make sure you make the best of every day, or at least part of every day; and when you do snuff it you can say you did the best you could.

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. The only piece of sense I've ever heard in a church!

"All we are is like dust in the wind Dude." - Bill & Ted's Most Excellent Adventure.

Seriously though people image eternal life being somehow disjunct from the normal living reality. Sure I can see how your mind, after being around for so long, is so mature that you've done everything. Then what. Unless you play a pivotal role in making mankind space faring then it could be rather boring.
Additionally I think having to put up with those that are only short lived would soon become rather annoying - a bit like people investing for short term rewards and missing the larger long term picture.

Well put.
