life after death

i'll probably be shot down in flames but i still think that there's something after death, and im hardly a devout christian etc :p

when you study certain aspects of the universe etc you can see that stranger things have happened, so its not incredibly hard to believe in

but thats just my view :)

name 5 stranger things.

Life after death is the religions hold on the religious, be good in life and follow our rules and you will live forever, how some sort of life after death came about seeing that nobody has acutally proved it I will never know. We are part of a process and that process is to die, nothing lasts forever, this planet will one day be gone, everything humans have worked for will be for nothing.

But its a great ride. Enjoy it while you can.

name 5 stranger things.

ill give you four becuase im tired :p

the existance/creation of the universe itself. Whatever theory you follow, (big bang/steady state) there are unanswered questions that rely on a strange assumption that it "just happened".

the wave particle duality of light; how it may change according to whether or not an observer is present

the conciousness/intelligence of the human mind in the first place. Back to basics we are simply a collection of particles like other matter, the very concept of having free will is strange and difficult to explain

the existence of other dimensions apart from the ones we live in

im not saying these prove ife after death :p and im a mere sixthformer so im not the most well read person ever. But i guess my point is with the huge scope of things we don't know about, its conceiveable that there may be some form of life after death

Massive cull wut?

By the time another planet has been terraformed humans will have evolved somewhat beyond current thinking and understanding and will most likely be using completely renewable energies to power their homes. Technologies that only exist in lab experiments now!

Space exploration will already be the norm and affordable for every day people.

Technology gets smaller, faster and cheaper as time goes on.

If anything only your conciousness will survive and thus you will simply become a point of observation, anything related to this biomechanical machine will not be carried over.

Don't believe in a live after death personally, but I have no issues with those that do. Each to their own.

For me, I don't (at present) need anything other than myself and other humans to rely on. However it occurs, death is unavoidable at some point.
