Beejive IM 3.0 available now

They've got another thing coming if they expect a lot of people to buy a mobile phone app for $15.99!

LOL @ $15.99.

When both Beejive and IM+ where reduced awaiting for the push updates to be accepted by apple, i decided to go with IM+ and just my luck Beejive gets released with push first, dammit :p

Oh well, hopefully it wont be long before IM+ 3.1 is ready to download :)

Tempting, but ill just wait for IM+ to be rolled out by apple, it carnt be that far behind in the list *fingers crossed*

Does it stay signed in for 24/7? I wouldn't really want to be online all day long. Does the push suck your battery dry?

I carnt say about beejive but im guessing it's the same as IM+. You can choose to stay logged in all the time, but its on there servers, so it's not running in the background killing of your battery lol.

You just get informed when you get a MSG simular to how you would get a text, then you open the IM programme and chat away :)

Got it up and running on my 3GS. Had a few connection problems so have just removed and done a clean install, so far so good.

Will let you know how it affects battery. If its anything like the AIM beta it shouldn't be too bad.

got it up and running after about 4 reinstalls as it got stuck in a cycle of opening and closing immediately

seems nice, not sure if push is working beyond notifications telling me its signed me out of MSN/Gtalk

Is this considered the best msn client?

I have recently moved from Palringo to IM+ Lite myself after having some issues with Palringo.

Be sure to up the timeout setting in the settings menu. It defaults to 20 mins

Thanks for the tip, now just have a permanent 'can't connect to host error' at the moment. Not very impressed so far, hoping it's just a bug that has slipped through the net.

I didn't realise anyone still used IM :o

I look on my contact list and there's a maximum of 2 or 3 people online whereas 2 years ago it'd have been 30-50.
