Fakefactory Cinematic Mod For Half-Life 2 ERROR

I am trying to play through Half-Life 2 using this mod, but as soon as I finish chapter 1 the game ends. I can't load chapter 2 or continue any further from my last save.

Did I mess up the installation and if so what should I have done differently?

OK - got it sorted now.

Turns out you need to begin a game of each chapter before installing the mod.

No, just begin one in each game.
