found a fiver made my day... what's the most you have found?

I once found £20 in a club, the next couple of rounds were on me :D

Also, I found an old ladies handbag while at uni a few months ago, had all the bits you'd find in a handbag - including a fair bit of money. I went and handed it to the police, and she wrote me a nice letter with £20 in it :)
 
Oh yeh was waiting for some people at the cash point, they were American and when they walked away about £200ish quid popped out the cash machine ...but i ran back over to them and handed it back :)
 
£20 myself, kept it.

my dad found a wallet with about £300 in, handed it in at ASDA and was told if no one claimed it within x amount of time then he could have it. no one claimed it, my mum was very pleased as we were a bit harder up back then.
 
Found £160 on a bus with my mum when I was 10, we handed it in at the police station and a couple of weeks later after no claim we got to keep it.

Bought me a nice bike :D
 
£60 in the entry to a Supermarket a long time when I was away once. It was just rolled up, not in a wallet or anything. I took it to customer services and there were two spotty oiks behind the counter.

Figured it was better in my pocket than theirs, still feel guilty that someone would have gone around the supermarket and got to the till but been unable to pay. I was there for some time but there wasn't an announcement over the tannoy. Had there been I'd have returned it.
 
Found a tenner on the street while walking the dog last tuesday, we split it 50/50. I bought some Stella, he got a new ball, a large jumbone treat and some markies.
 
When I was young a mate and I found £60 rolled up in an elastic band on the floor near the main entrance to the sports centre we were in. With stealth we scooped it from the floor and waited to see if anyone had dropped it or if there was any announcement over the tannoy but nothing happend so we just left. Promptly split it in half with my mate and went on a crazy spending spree buying comics, sweets and other rubbish.

A couple of years back on the way home from my daughters singing concert we stumbled upon £20 in the middle of the road. Area was dead quiet, nobody about at all so we pocketed it.
