I know there are a frightening amount of "eff you Jack, I'm alright's" on here, but there looks like storms are brewing in the postal industry. On one website I look at this is a list of offices requesting ballots for strike action.

and it's early days yet so there will no doubt be more added to that list as those are just delivery offices and there are Mail Centres and RDC's involved too.

No doubt there will be the usual "If they don't like it they can get another job" replies but it's good to see people willing to stand up and fight for their jobs.
 
I have lost count how many times the Royal Mail have gone on strike.

You would think they would get out of the place and find a new job.

(edit - its not like they're living in a small mining community in Wales/Yorkshire in the 1920s where there is only one employer and you really don't have much chance to pursue higher education - job market today is flexible and you can undertake further qualifications at any stage - no excuses these days especially if you live in a large town/city)

Royal mail is a mess, they won't help matters by striking and will just force the government into selling it off, then they'll all have to apply for their own jobs.

Seriously do they expect any good to come of striking now?
