8800GTX as a physx card

No idea...anyway the 8800GTX is overkill for a physx card and has terrible power consumption as well.

Cheers for the responses guys. I was just asking the question cos ive just upgraded to 2 x gtx 260 and I have a spare 8800gtx kicking about so I was gonna lash it in the system and see what happened, whats your thoughts, should I bother or not, or just sell the thing!!

a 9500GT/8600GT and above will cope fine for physx.

Your SLI GTX260 setup is more than capable of running physx though, the extra 8800GTX will give you a very negligible performance increase at the cost of much more heat and power consumption.

No need & it'll heat up everything else without good reason & draw to much power. Sell it me & I'll xfire my one. :D (That is a joke & Not an Offer outside of M&M :))
