What other fighting games are you interested in?

The problem with Tekken and many other beatem up games is when you've played one you've played them all as they all feel like the same game.

I actually like that :D

Because when I pick up the pad, And play as Bryan(My fave) 90% of the moves are the same, Plus some new ones are there generally. But then you get nicer graphics, New challenging fights

And yet some of us still buy the damn games. :p

Really no different to all the yearly updates of Sports games and yet people still buy them.

Bah, according to an american site that had KoFXII on pre-order it's been pushed back to the end of next month over there, which I guess means the same for us over here.
This does not please me.

Final Fantasy Dissidia on the PSP, looks like its going to be a cool game and far more interesting than many of the beat em ups ive seen lately.

the problem lies with people not even scratching the surface... the depth is in the game mechanics - its all about fighting vs. mode against REAL people.

every beat em up ive tried has been completely different from each other... if you dont bother learning the game then you can say the same about any game type really.

EDIT - oops read your post wrong.

however, that feeling is because beat em ups evolve over time and the most important factor is CHARACTER BALANCE rather than adding new features for the sake of it. again, the problem is whether people know the game enough to notice the changes. one single new game mechanic is enough to change the game entirely...

I love Soul Calibur because some really intresting new modes are added in each game. I liked Soul Calibur on Dreamcast. They should have ported the Dreamcast version to XBL instead of the Standard arcade version.

Anybody purchased Garou Mark of the wolves yet? Im just downloading the trial. Im new to the fatal fury franchise though so will see what I think. Looks 'ok'.

Just played a few rounds of the demo - actually quite enjoyable if you can get past the 4:3 aspect ratio and the not so pretty sprites. Certainly moves fast and smooth though.

I wish demos of KOF and Blazblue would get released soon (if at all), quite intrigued as to what they play like.

It'll be interesting to see how something with such crap controls handles this tbh.

I'm more concerned about the fact that apparently you can use a DS3 with the PSP Go! Imo the DS3 is far better than the PSP controls and thus people using this would have a huge advantage online (if it supported it)

Ooh im intrigued. If I can use a DS3 with a PSPGO, and there is some sort of mounting mechanism so the PSPGO and DS3 become a combined unit, then I will be buying a PSPGO. :D
