HTC Hero, coming July on Orange and T-Mobile, makes me want!

just an uglier version of the touch HD then? :p the specs aren't even that different :(

edit: after looking properly into it, the touch HD is the same but with a bigger screen and better res. the hero has teflon malarky...

think i'll just stick Android on the HD, thanks :p

It does look a bit fatter than the Magic in the video actually when the guy turns it around...Hmmmm.

Hmm, it looks really chunky in that video, certainly not as nice as the magic shape wise.

Meh the more I watch the short video the more I prefer the Magic size and shape :p I'll be glad if XDA Devs port Sense/Rosie for G1 and G2 though!

Currently using the diamond, its a great phone but you know what really lets it down

Underneath is windows mobile, lag, freezes, lockups it all still happens. I really think microsoft should be making an effort like they did to improve win7 from vista on the mobiles. It has so much potential but its still too much of a hassle

Having seen the vid of this phone and a lot of the core functionality is the same like making calls, the on screen keyboard etc but being on a completely new platform i think im sold on switching to android and this is looking like the phone ill get

Surely if its a problem then just cancel the Magic you got  and wait for this one to make its way out.

I don't believe I can because I didn't buy direct from voda - was bought from dial a phone so no 40 day trial. Is crazy how quickly htc have bashed out another phone.

It's like having a really dirty ugly Girlfriend.

Your friends will be impressed with what she does but at the end of the day she's still fugly.

This or the Touch Pro 2... hmm...

Will wait until July to see what I can get direct from T-Mob as an upgrade, I think.

What sort of sat-nav apps exist for Android? (I presume you can't just whack a WinMo TomTom on it)

Yes the LG KM and the difference in resolution is visible yes but the responsiveness and visual appeal of Android is just better all round, so much so that a higher res is not needed really on current Android phones.

It's not on the home screens where the screen res makes the difference, it's in games and most importantly, internet. I couldn't go back to surfing the net on a low res phone again after using the HD.

I think I'm just going to port rosie to my g1 once someone gets a rosie rom I'm happy with. I'm waiting for something with a faster processor and better res before i think it's worth upgrading the hardware myself.
