GTa IV multiplayer cheaters?

Decided to play some GTa 4 last night after a few months of not playing, went and played some multiplayer and got real annoyed with 2 people who could kill you in 2 shots with any weapon from any distance, example, was running to capture a 'turf' and this guy was a fair distance away, so i aimed in and zoomed while i was capturing the point as soon as i saw him i started to shoot with the ak-47, he killed me with 2 shots from a pistol even though i was wearing body armour and his head was just a small dot on the horizon.

Another instance of some dodgy dealing, i was hiding behind a house he was atthe otehr end and he shot me thru the house, 2 shots and i was dead :mad:
 
I've noticed the cheating is incredibly common on the PC too, it makes it unplayable, as you just can't win or do anything without dying for that matter. Rockstar need to sort it out, but no fix has been forthcoming.
 
I've yet to play GTA IV Multiplayer. Would LOVE to try but I think the fact that cheating is so rife, I'd just lose my patience with it.
 
I thought the multiplayer was bloody good actually. But it lacked something. It felt a little bit soulless for want of a better word. Whatever it was, I haven't played it again since, so it wasn't particularly appealing. Rockstar did all of the right things and added the right modes, but for some reason it just doesn't work for me.
 
thats why i had the ? after cheaters, no idea how they would be able to cheat on a console, but glitching seems to be common in console games. It just seem very suspicious when a team of 2 players can kill everyone else in 2 shots and not die once in a 30 min game even when you have the better weapons.
