Hi Richard

Gutted you didn't get the image in... I'm in the same boat actually, I put 6 images in, 3 got to the semis and 1 in the final but sadly didn't make through..... Gutted really but on the bright side if the images are getting through to finals and semis, it's just a matter of time till success.
It's the first time I've entered too actually.

I'm writing this as the uk's current most northerley photographer, I'm on unst on the Shetland isles, at hermaness.. I've just got up as we were out all night doing the seabirds and landscapes, never seen light like it, sunset at midnightish sunrise around 3am. Thank the lord for iPhones and GPRS!

Ah man, that would have been superb if we had got through. Imagine that, after chatting on here all that time then finally metting at the awards lol! Maybe next year...

Shetlands sounds great, wish I was there now! The light is like that on Skye as well at this time of year. I haven't been out with the camera for a few weeks now, really must try and get the time to do so!!
