Nice price! wonder if these means their clearing stock for even better CPU's??

4GHz here we come??? :)

Thats a pretty good deal, makes it a little more competative with i7 in terms of bang for buck. I have been wondering about the future of the AM3 socket and what we can expect in the future (currently deciding between an AM3 or i7 platform)

but hey, this may just swing my new PC to be an AMD one :S

I wholeheartedly agree. :)

indeed im gutted at how much they have dropped after paying 190ish but its all good.

amd will have to revise the arcutecture to really go thurther with am3 cant see them reliesing a cpu at 4ghz 1.35vcore. so a dye srink and a rework with faster ram support hopefully. not interested in more than 4 cores

I can see a 4ghz stock CPU being released at some point. Just look at the old X2 6000/6400, upon release of the X2s you'd struggle to believe we'd see 3/3.2ghz stock chips.

I'm still on an AM2+ board myself and the 955 plods along nicely.
